Yes I know it is a twin...
Yes I know it will always have vibes, and may or may not get better with time depending on who u ask.....
I have owned bikes that vibe...My current Moto Guzzi Norge has vibes...So did my Versys....
and selling the bike isn't an option I like it to much except if I have to make a freeway run....wanna use as a commuter 40 miles of slab

Since the Guzzi vibes don't bother me and the Versys vibes didn't either I am left to believe that its the frequency of the vibes that are making my hands tingly and numb....I have already changed the grips to pro grip 715 which helped....and some grip puppies are on order....

My thought was maybe there is a way to change the frequency of the vibes so they didn't bother me.....any ideas are welcome.....might be as simple as different bars...the vibes on my bike are more buzzy...think humming bird...If I could get them to be more mechanical like the Guzzi I wouldn't have compliant one about this bike....

And to all you out there that are ready to jump on this thread to tell me that I need to sell the bike and buy a Toyota you can just keep you opinion to urself.....its not helpful...

thanks in advance

My Toyota doesn't vibrate so maybe....... Sorry I couldn't help myself. I would recommend you change out the stock steel bars to some aluminum ones which may help with the way they transmit vibration. I purchased some Tusk ATV 1-1/8" aluminum bars from rocky mountain ATV (pro taper style) and combined with the stock bar end weights and Rox anti vib risers work great. My bike is very smooth on the freeway with only the slight twin pulse but no high frequency vibs.

I would NEVER tell you to give up!

You aren't some kind of Sissy because these vibes assault you.
But you are a Sissy if you give up before trying EVERYTHING! :)

Just stay on your RELENTLESS pursuit. You'll get there.

Just curious, what RPM range is it that feels the most bothersome? I assume this is 6th gear at freeway speeds? Mine is a little buzzy in the bars at speeds above 75mph, where the RPM is up at 4500 or so, but at 3800 RPM it feels great.

I'm an Oregonian, where we're forced to go 54 in a 65 by all the slow drivers, so thankfully I rarely have to worry about those higher speeds where it gets a bit buzzy. Hhaha, bleah...

I won't say a word about any Toyota... but I'll bet you still won't like my suggestion...

Have you taken any time, at all, to use the forum "Search" function? You can find it here - http://www.yamahasupertenere.com/index.php?action=search

If you don't care so much for the forum's own search capability then you can search the forum via "Google":

http://lmgtfy.com/?q=handlebar+vibration+site%3Awww.yamahasupertenere.com

Or even search ADVrider via "Google":

http://lmgtfy.com/?q=site%3Awww.advrider.com+super+tenere+handlebar+vibration

Lots and lots of info and possible solutions to your concerns, and nobody has to re-type that information over and over, repeatedly, again and again... ;)

OK, now go ahead and flame me because I didn't actually answer your question directly, but instead gave you the tools to actually find the answers yourself to most any question you may have in the future... ::017::

It's ironic that my Stelvio has a bar vibration frequency that makes me loose strength in my hands while my Tenere's vibration doesn't bother me a bit. I've tried up to 2 lbs of bar end weights on the Guzzi without an appreciable difference. I thought putting 1" bar backs on the Tenere might cause and increase in vibration, but it hasn't.

Hope you find a solution that works for you.

Ok this makes me think maybe I am not going crazy...Cause everybody that has rode my bike says its not that bad....I have decided to run it a little harder and get it out to 6000 miles and if its still bothersome then try some to find a solution...

I had installed an aftermarket (TT) cross bar on my previous F800GS hoping for the same thing. It worked for me. Something like Barkbusters may also change the frequency because of the position of the bracing.
