I am thinking about getting my exhaust Cerakoted, just wondering if anyone on this Forum has done this or had any experience of Cerakote? If I go ahead, then it won’t be immediately, but it is on my wish list at the moment.

Are you looking at it for the cosmetics?

Yes, mainly for cosmetic reasons as I dont intend to get rid of the cat. I know there are performance benefits by keeping the exhaust gases at higher temperatures, but I really just want to smarten up the down pipes.
cool! It will do that. Only advice I will throw in is make sure they will grit blast prior to coating. The pipes are 439 SS and nothing will stick if you are not to “bright” steel. Surface profile of 20-25 microns prior to coating with a dry film thickness of 40-50 microns. Dry film thickness should not exceed 75 microns or it will eventually break off in chunks

I cannot speak to Yamaha’s CAT bricks but we routinely painted and force cured preloaded diesel exhaust systems with no problem. They just needed to keep blast media out of the internals

i look forward to seeing the results

Have you thought of wrapping them with exhaust wrap. I have used exhaust wrap on a number of bikes, as well as headers on cars. Looks great lasts long and very affordable.
