Hi Folks

I have just purchased the above and was wondering if i can simply run the two wires into the OE Aux Light socket which is already switched and fused? I know I am sacrificing a power source but would still be gaining a further 4. I just thought that it would be a tidy fitment and all in close proximity. Hope you can help

I may be wrong but one if the switched aux plugs are for lights, and so not really heavy duty for higher amp draws that a Centech type of fuse panel will have the potential draw. You may have to use a relay as well. I would go straight from the battery with a relay then to the Centach.....

Could I use the 4 pin heated grips plug instead?

Again, would depend on how much draw you intend to use, total watts, from the Centech, ie; what you plan to plug into it, satnav, phone charger, heated gloves would probably be ok, anymore I would check. Someone once posted what was max usable amps on this site.......
Beware, the aux plugs run straight from the ECU.......

Correct me if I'm wrong (and someone surely will!), but you generally run a '+' and a '-' cable from the battery to your fuse block. Then, you can run a single line from your fuse block to a 'switched' wire to get the 'switched' portion for your useage. This is when you tap into the switched wire on the aux. plugs. You shouldn't need to tap into two of them.

Does the Centec work that way? I know the PC8 does if you get the harness, real slick BTW...

It's been posted here a few times that the stock fuse for the aux light plug is 20amps. I'm not sure on the Centech, but the EB PC8 is available with either a 30 or 50 amp wiring harness option. If the total current draw of all the accessories you are powering doesn't exceed 20amps, using the light harness is fine. To determine total current draw, add up the wattage of every item, and divide that's number by 12 (nominal voltage).
