'14 ES,I put my 590lm in a Touratech locking mount, mounted to the cross bar. But now i can't see my turn signal indicators .So i ride around like a dipstick with one or the other flashing like granny. Anyone else have this problem? I'm thinking a piece of clear plexiglass laid across the dash part would make the light travel down .

Same here - I have to bend my head to see the left indicator light. So I just hit the signal button whenever I am in doubt

I have exactly that problem with my Zumo 660 mounted in a Touratech locking cradle, I can see the indicator flashing on the lense of the light unit but its not great

Calliou...what have you used to transmit the light ? as it looks like a good result

sorry, I thought the pic I posted was self explanatory...
I replaced the U collars provided by Touratech by 2 collars for electric cables which, placed on the lower holes, raise the GPS by something like 2 inches, so it clears stock indicators.

I can take more pics if needed but I'm pretty sure that with explanation above and picture on previous post, it will be very clear.

Good idea Caillou. Mine moves around plenty with the standard U-brackets. How stable is the Touratech cradle with your mounting mod? I was wondering whether the road surface induced vibes are magnified.

I would like to sort mine, as SWMBO on the pillion is always poking me in the ribs if I forget to cancel the indicators. This is always a concern in urban riding, even though I can just about see the indicator lenses, so I would like to resove the issue. Shame Yamaha didn't mount the turn signal indicators to each side of the intrument panel. I had been thinking about putting LEDs repeaters on the back of the indicator stalks, behind the lenses, as a simple solution............ KEN

Hi Squibb,

You may be interested by the mod I hve made here: http://www.yamahasupertenere.com/index.php?topic=15392.0

The Touratech craddle alone will not change anything to vibration, unfortunately. The only advantage is to lock the GPS (and lock system is far from a safety box...).

Agreed I reckon my Tourateh locking mount vibrates more now than it did when first fitted and its definitely due for some supports ..yours look great however I have wind deflectors fitted so may have to try something different

Thanks for the link caillou - I must have missed the original post somehow.

Interesting; food for thought here - any qualms about safety could be addressed with a sheer bolt up at the screen bracket.

Thanks ............... KEN

Well, actually Yamaha created it as locating the bar not thinking the sizes of GPS devices, in 660 tenere it is even worst. Actually I am pleased Touratech has a cheap way to solve the height issues.

Excellent, it does seem that the two saddle clips that currently attach the cradle to the cross brace will be replaced by a single attachment clip,

Yozbutev is this modified attachment as rigid as the original

Yes it is. I had the issue when I was using 390 LM and asked Touratech Türkiye how to solve it and they advised me this item. It fixed my issue, then with the 590LM as well. Strangely, although 590LM and it's touratech mount is bigger,i see the turn signals clearer compared to my setup with 390LM.

Where did you order from Tyke? I am looking for a decent price, if you don't mind me asking.

T.UK want over £17 including postage, which seems a bit rich - it can't be that heavy to mail surely.
They start life at E9.35 RRP (c.£7) in the Fatherland. Part No. 01-065-0525-0.

Perhaps it's my Scottish roots - maybe I just have to bite the bullet!!
