Nope, and tested it with the bags on a trip to and from Northern Maine at 85/90 most of the way!

I installed mine yesterday, had the welded in set screw. Took the Dremel to the tack weld to free the set screw. cut a good portion off the short side of a 4MM allen to get it in there enough to turn. I like the sound with the baffle out way more but the turn signal is getting hot. Probably going to cut off the tube of the silencer and just use the tip for turning the gasses down.

Just pulled my baffle out tack weld cut and a big dowel into end to carefully wiggle it free came right out... definitely more bass to the exhaust, you can slip the cap on and off as it's running to hear the difference while it's still cool lol ...like it better just a bit louder but deeper tone ...
Listen to video with Bluetooth speaker, because it's hard to pick up the difference in the deeper bass sound. But trust me you can feel it in your chest

Looks like you can just pull the tube apart from the end cap and slide end cap back on if you want , no need to cut tube. I like the sound better without anything in there

I am thinking about doing this to mine. How exactly did you cut the weld off of the allen screw without hacking anything else up? Looking at mine, there is almost no room to get a tool of any sort in there and you would really beat up the surrounding material trying to cut or grind through the bead of weld?

Thanks

I used a small triangle file, carefully filed a small notch in the weld, then took a small punch and tapped it to break free the screw
Sounds easy enough. I will have to look again at mine, I think the weld went into the allen head socket of the screw, If it did, I am screwed...... :D

The tack weld on my baffle screw covered over 2/3 of the screw and into the allen hole which made it impossible to remove without butchering the whole damn thing so I road it a few days and it was way too quiet for me so I got drunk and butchered it. Muffler is fine but the insert is unusable. As a matter of fact the screw must have been cross threaded int the muffler because it's still in there and filed down flush with the outlet. Needless to say there's no going back but I loved the sound without it so all is good. O.K. all "was" good because I recently bought a arrow header and now it is really loud with the open yoshi. A different slip on with a easy to remove baffle is in my future. I am starting to enjoy the decell as much as the excell though.

That is exactly what I was afraid of with mine and your report confirmed my suspicions.

If I wanted louder, I would probably just order the arrow slip on, keep both the arrow and Yoshi to try them out for a while. Then, once I made up my mind, sell the one I don't like on Ebay. Sure there will be some loss factored into the sale but oh well.

I really think arrow has the best baffle securing system. A large circlip that is too big to fall down into the muffler and get lost. Circlips can't rattle loose like a screw, can not be cross threaded and really don't wear out. If you do lose the circlip, you can get a replacement at any hardware store; smart.
