I do rate myself as having a modicum of mechanical prowess but despite this, I managed to put a small but perfectly formed hole in my S10's radiator this morning (please don't ask, i'm humiliated enough already ::010:.
I've checked out nearly all of the bike breakers in the UK, plus a few in the Europe and none appear to have had a single salvage S10's in, let alone any used radiators. It therefore seems as though i'm looking at having to buy a new one, which is a frightening thought!
As you may know, the term "Rip Off Britain" is very often used over here in the UK and for good reason. It turns out that my local Yamaha emporium want £528.96 ($803.44) for a radiator, where as in the USA (Stadium Yamaha, Irvine TX), one will cost me £225.63 ($342.25). So, it looks as though my "flexible friend" will have to be hoiked out of my wallet and dusted off, to go shopping in Texas.
There's a small problem though, Stadium Yamaha want me to pay $227.93 (£150.00) to ship it over to the land of the perpetually robbed. Now I know that i'm still saving myself a bit of cash but surely, there must be people that will ship parts to the UK for less?
Does anyone here, US or UK resident, have any ideas or experience of how I could get my parts shipped over to the UK for a more reasonable cost?
