Cheers guys. Valves being sorted and CCT ordered. Quick question , 6 of 8 valves need shims , I will talk to my mechanic but why do these go out ? Mechanical wear, fuel, rider style, tuning ?? Thanks for the thoughts.

First of all, how many miles/km does it have?…..6 out of 8 need a shim, but were they within the range?…..I never read that someone had a blown exhaust valve due to not regulating it, but the other day I read that a user, never adjusted them, on his two S10s with many miles...and he never burned a valve, so I'm not entirely sure...although I am sure that they must be kept within the range...

It would be within the range of miles, where the first check is usually done and where corrections are usually needed so that the valves are within clearance range (especially exhaust).
