My lovely Super Ténéré is gone :'(

She's travelling to sunny Málaga where she's going to have a well deserved retirement.
We had a nice farewell traveling thru the Alps to the Bonaduz (Switzerland) international Ténéré meeting. Incredible trip.
I'm working to select the thousands of pictures and hours in videos. Once its ready and translated I will post it.
More news, I have a new blog, very soon in English as well, so we’ll be in contact:

Jaime, you built an outstanding Tenere, and the new owner will surely love it too. I hope you post your 660 Tenere build here, so we can keep up with it. I am sure it will be really cool too!

Jaime thanks for sharing your Super Tenere and its development. It will always be an icon for the Yamaha Super Tenere community. You mentioned 'retirement'. Will the Tenere be ridden or added to a collection?

Looking forward to following your XT660 build. Recently did some XT660 research and was surprised there are more than one model, XT660R, XT660X, XT660Z, and one with ABS. Wish they were available in the USA. Makes me want to take a trip to Europe to 'Buy, Tour, Ship' a XT660Z.

THANKS!

I said retirement because I doubt the new owner is going to do the same silly things I did ;)
I have a XT660Z wich is the adventure version, with a 23 litres tank, better ground clearance, etc. But it needs improve the suspensions, and "few" things more... lot of fun!
Wait few years and you can come to ship mine!! ::001::

The Super Tenere will definitely get a rest though maybe miss your guidance.

The XT660Z comes in ABS or not. The ABS model has suspension travel of 160F and 145R and the non-ABS model has suspension travel of 210F and 200R. Gotta wonder why. If you have the non-ABS model and are replacing the stock suspension you might be able to sell the stock suspension to a ABS model rider.

hi jamie, i met you and your bike at bonaduz, we had a great time too, 2 weeks in the saddle, germany, switzerland, italy, i got some cracking vids and pics too, your bike is very cool. i spoke to the guys at diasapon racing there they told me off for putting the arrow headers and power commander on my bike and said i should dump it. and let them do the new flash. more torque and revs apparently.
ide be sad to see your bike go too lol. all the best in your new project.

Yes, there are the two versions. The Tenere is a very high bike. To reach the flor with the two feet you need to be about 1,80 metres minimum. That's why they launched a more road oriented bike with ABS and shorter suspensions. In Spain they sell only this option and if you want a non ABS bike they must ordred from other european countries.

Mine is a demo bike from Yamaha. It's the ABS version, that's why I'm trying to sell it to buy a new one without ABS. If I can't no problem, I'm going to take off the ABS and put longuer and better suspensions.

I hope to start next week :p

I know....

I've got the feeling I'm going to have at least the same fun than in the 1200 ;)
The 660 has lot of potential, nice bike. I'm doing the mod list and I'm going to start very soon to order the parts.
She hasn't tubeless, I woul like to have Woody's lovely wheels but shipping to Spain would be too expensive.
Thanks, I would post my progress
Cheers!
