Buying used bike in Kentucky -- title help

I live in tn. I want to do a private sale with a individual in Kentucky . The bike is free And clear from any Liens. Title in hand.

How and what do I need in order to register and transfer the title in tn?

Google reveals ky requires a notarized title at the time of sale .. I guess ky requires a luxury/property tax for items.. Transferring the title releases the seller from that..

We were going to meet half way.. Few hrs for each of us.. Since I'm a tn resident .. Do I need to worry about all that it just have him supply a bill of sale and a signed over title ? Help .. I'm over thinking this.

If you have the title you will be OK. Just make sure he HAS registered and paid the taxes or you will pay back taxes. IE: 2006 bike never registered you will owe 6 yrs of back taxes and this year. TN has the easiest of all the states I have lived in. A bill of sale is good to have with both signatures and info.
