Buying S10 at Romney cycles in WV

I still think my Vee was quicker with the lowered gearing and PC III I had installed. My Vee would wheelie in 3rd gear. Don't know how much of that was due to whatever weight I had in the top box, but it would lift the front end much more readily than the S10 with or without the mod. That's one of the very few things I miss about the the Vee. Overall the S10 is a far better bike than the Vee, but I wouldn't mind getting a little more on-demand power out of it at some point.

Yeah those bricks in the top box would help the wheelies for sure! Also, I didn't have the PC 111 on my Vee so that might explain why yours would pull harder than mine.

Plus I did the fuel filter drill out and it made a big difference in power.

I just got mine two weeks ago from Rick at Blalock Cycle in Warreneton, VA. I live south of Warrenton by about 3 hours in Portsmouth VA. I was also headed to Romney, but couldn't pass a great dealer to pay about the same. (Romney---$12795 + about $650 va tax,title,tag $13,445------ Blalock ---- #13,495 out the door, with VA T,T,T included). I had heard so much good about Romney, I was certain I was going to have to go and get one there ...because NO BODY in my area has a clue how customer service should be! And, scary enough, one Yamaha dealer 30 minutes south of me in NC had no idea what a Tenere even was...he said "... now is that an ATV?" But, by chance, I found Blalock and a really nice "small town" motorcycle shop with a heck of a nice fella at the helm!
