I got the call I have been waiting for my bags and other farkles came in and the shop were installing them. So with temp @ 26df and blowing snow I took del of the bike and rode it home. I figured what the heck am I a owner or a rider so away I rode even though the dealer offered to trailer it home for me.
A couple of notes I was in the shop while the mechanic installed the stuff and one of the blots that he had to remove to install the brackets to hold the bags was cross threaded from the factory. Another one ended up gaulting before it came out but didn't appear to be cross threaded. I am glad they were doing the work and were able to run a die tap in and straighten things up. This bolts were the ones that hold the grab handles for the passenger .
The other thing I noted (and I am not sure since I have not seen another bike in person) just watched the video but I think Yamaha has changed the way the key unlocks the lids. Now you don't push down so much on the lids & and it has this little detent (that is plastic ugh) that the locking tap has to click into before you can remove the key. Dunno forgive me if this is incorrect but from the video I didn't pick up on this. It doesn't appear it is needed to push down on the lids to have them just pop open.
Here are a few pics of the new Tenere getting its wings oh no those are not wings but bags !
