i stupidly snapped a turn signal while working on bike. A bit pissed at myself.

rather than just google replacements, i was wondering if anyone has replaced the stock front turn signals with something on a flex neck?

recommendations?

disengage from the bike. Have you found any trick to it? I don't want to break something!

Oops, started my reply in PM. To fill in:
I also broke a turn signal, and am waiting for a replacement. I'm having a little trouble removing the broken one, however. Looks like you spread two female flanges, allowing the male tabs to release, disengaging the signal assembly from the bike. Is there a trick to spreading the flanges? I don't want to break anything.

Wish I could say I've only done that once.

Replaced it with a new one the first time. Second time I used a generous amount of Goop glue and so far it's holding nicely. At least as sturdy as the other side. Doesn't look bad, because my wife hasn't even noticed yet...and she would if it jumped out at her.

I just looked thru the FSM and it doesn't really cover removing and replacing the turn signals. On my Gen II, (2015), the front and rear are the same design. There is a plastic locking washer of sorts that fits into those two tabs. You pry the washer out on one end and it will release from the tabs and you can pull it over the wiring harness. I didn't try and fully remove a turn signal, but it appears that once the locking washer is off, the turn signal will pull out from the panel.
