I'm looking at the Adventure, Challenger and Discovery jackets. LOOKS like a lot of kit for reasonable $$....sounds almost too good.... ???

I believe mine is the Challenger. It's got enough pockets that I could almost do away with my panniers. Very warm, I can wear it up to temps in the mid 70's, after that it's a bit warm.

The Challenger and Discovery are the ones that really catch my eye. (Wish they were available in gray..).. Looks like a lot of features for the $$.

I have had the Adventure jacket for about 5 years now. I use for my spring/summer/ fall jacket for temps from the 50's and up with a microfleece jacket under it when cool out. It's been a good jacket with the exception of the waterproof Napolian pocket which fell apart after washing and the filler cap on the hydration bladder can be a pain to put on and not have it leak.

Sizing runs a little small for us Yankees. I,m 6' / 195 lbs. and normally buy a large in all my jackets but this one is a little tight, especially around the neck which I can not snap closed. The rain liner works good for light rain and is large enough to go over the top of the jacket. Only used it once in the rain but have used it as a wind breaker many times.

I would give the jacket 4 out of 5 stars and would buy it again. I feel it is way better than the Bilt brand jacket from Cycle Gear.

Got a Mercury and a Challenger, many many miles on both, probably the most bang for the buck out there. Both have been durable and incredibly waterproof not to be Gortex. My ONLY complaint is that they do NOT breath much. 8)

Tried on some of thier jackets at the international motorcycle show a few years ago, seemed like very nice stuff, had intended to order a jacket but that never happened.

I bought the Challenger at one of the IMS shows 10 years ago but sold it after wearing it only on a dozen short rides. Very well put together, but the fit was off. It's not offered in "tall" sizes and although the sleeves were strangely long enough, the body was too short and the belt was too high up on the torso, closer to my ribs than waist.

I have one of their leather jackets dark brown color. All I can say is I would buy another if any thing happens to this one. BTW I've had it for about 6years.

I bought the Zephyr summer riding jacket from Knox for my ride down through France & Spain to the FIM Mototour of Nations in Portugal.
It made riding in 40c temps bearable. The jacket is close fitting so the armour dosen't move about and the outer shell is abrasion resistant.
Therefore you can wear whatever you need over it. For example a light weight water proof layer. For cold weather an insulated layer can be worn over and a
waterproof layer over. I purchase the Knox All Sport Jacket to go with it. The All Sport Jacket is abrasion resistant, water proof and breathable.

It is essential to purchase one size larger than you would usually take. For example I usually take a large size and I needed an extra large.
