Nope. Even the Jeep I special ordered. They would let me have it until they took it and put 10 miles on it. Sad part was that mine was the first manual trans that the "checker" had been able to test with the then new 3.6l.

How many miles on previous S10s? Obviously you know what you like. How would you compare to other bikes you have had?

I received word that the bike had a scuffed front abs sensor and its all fixed (probably during set up). I will get it back tomorrow. I'm glad it was a very simple part. I think this is the end of the story.
'a scuffed front abs sensor' ..... I wonder how they fixed that? Unlikely the dealer had a new sensor in stock so did they just polish the scuffs away?

When I picked up my ‘15 brand new at the dealer the ABS light was staying on as I headed home. No other lights though. I turned around and went straight back into the service department. The tech found the cable to the front sensor broken and shredded. The bike had maybe 5 miles on it. The dealer fixed it by the next day pulling a sensor & cable from another new super Ténéré they had in stock.

This is my 15th bike and 3rd S10. My '17 was flawless and I traded it at 61,000 miles. My '19 had a couple of issues covered under warranty, just traded it with 65,000 miles.
How it compares to everything else I've had isn't quite fair because different models had such different purposes. As an all around, go anywhere, in comfort bike, I haven't owned anything that has came close to the S10. I had a 2014 FJR that I didn't like because it was too wide for me and top heavy and sucks off pavement. I had a 2003 FZ1 that was probably the most fun bike I can remember, but its not as good off road and for the long haul as the S10. I'll be sad to see the S10 discontinued, especially if its for a chain drive T9.
