just changed my brake lines to steel hoses.. initial bleed till no bubbles was no good as both the front AND rear brakes were squishy.. rebled the whole system thru and it was fine this time..
went thru 2 bottles of dot4s to get it right.. just need to be patient and i used all the tricks listed here.. from tapping the brake lines and connection to the "redneck abs bleed" trick to get fresh fluid thru the whole abs circuit etc.. i rocked the bike sideways and back and forth too.. just becareful not to get any paint stripping brake fluid on the bike tho..
installed the brembo rcs19 master cylinder at the same time.. brake feels good and now that there are no air in the system, id say the mastercylinder upgrade is rather worth it... most of the time its air trapped at the connections near the abs unit thats causing the squishyness.. at least imho
anyway we need to bleed both the front AND the rear because of thr unified braking thingy..
