I'm confused... I look at some online reviews of the S10 and see a silver/gray side fairing, the Altrider site has a silver fairing yet on other sites that section is a black fairing.

Is the silver one the European model?

Joe,
In addition to the silver side panels on the overseas version, they also have silver inset panels on the saddle (USA are black).

I was thinking about that too.. so, all the magazine reviews I've see - Rider - Sport Rider - a couple others, have the black seat/side panels.

I'm reeeeeeeally getting close to pulling the trigger.

I have no idea why Yamaha would choose to leave the side fairings black instead of painting them silver. Same thing with the sides of the seats. I think the blue version in Europe is also slightly a lighter shade of blue too. The 'non-usa' version look much, much better from a cosmetic stand point to me. I'm having my Impact Blue's side fairing's painted to match the Euro ones, however, the seats will remain totally stock. Anyone else thinking about having the side fairings painted silver to match the euro version?
