They really didn't say anything bad about the Kawi, and little Honda. Just that they were small and underpowered. Duh. They're entry level. The real surprise was the Africa Twin being on the list.

Honestly this Hotcars website looks to be nothing more than a "clickbait" source....

I was expecting current bikes to make up all ten spots. And, if you read another portion of the article it talks up the AT, albeit not the DCT version.

So, some asshole in the Philippines that I've never heard of, (Luke Zietsman) runs his mouth about what HE thinks are not good adventure bikes, and I'm supposed to take it seriously? LOL
I decided to research him, and the more I read his opinions on bikes he says we'll regret owning, the MORE of an asshole I think he is!

No reason to get worked up. I learned several things from the article. I didn't even know some of those bikes existed. Doesn't mean I'm gonna put much stock in his opinion(s). I disagree with a bunch of y'all on certain things. Doesn't mean I'm not gonna listen to what y'all say. . . . well, most of y'all. :)

I didn't intend to upset so many of you, I really couldn't care less if the AT automatic is junk or awesome, I wouldn't, ride one anyway. I do know he sounded right about the KTM 790, I haven't seen much good about it. And I know he is right about the China CRAP. Everything I have ever purchased that came from that country I have regretted latter. "or sooner"

Actually it was DM who read this article to me a few days ago. I was on the way out to the dealer to get myself a shiny new Buell Ulysses. The advice of Mr. Zietsman in this article stopped me from making a big mistake. Thanks, Luke.

I had a Buell Ulysses and it was a brilliant bike. No, I never took it off-road, butI didn’t buy it to go anywhere except on tarmac. Superb handling, a lovely motor and good quality cycle parts. A great bike!
