So, I'm on a three day camping trip and packed my camping gear up and my 2013 Super T won't fire up. It's cranking but won't fire. Tried jumping it with another motorcycle and a truck. No dice. Ran fine all weekend. Although I did have one hard start at the Slash X Cafe near Barstow on a Friday. Any ideas?

Edit: tried quarter throttle and a guy in camp is charging my battery. I am going all WOT when I get my battery back. And, iI'lll go from there to the hard start thread.

Thanks!

Wide open throttle until it starts. Don't crank for more than 10 seconds at a time. Do not turn off key. This will cycle fuel pump again. There's already too much in there.

It will most likely make a huge BOOM out the muffler when it fires.

I think I've figured out how to avoid this problem. I seem to have the hard start situation when the engine initially kind of kicks back against the starter. After that it's a bear to start. What I do now is turn off the kill switch, turn on the key and then in one motion hit the kill switch/starter button. Seems like this gets the engine turning and spun up a bit before the fuel reaches the chambers. So far doing this I've had no kickbacks and associated hard starts. I think this might work better with Gen 2 combo starter-kill switch set up.
