Fitted my Beowolf silencer today. I went for the titanium one for £270. All stainless internals, never needs repacking. Lifetime guarantee.

Stock silencer weighed 5.8Kg (12.8lbs), Beowolf silencer, link pipe and all brackets weighed 2.3Kg (just over 5lbs). Weight saved 3.5Kg (7.7lbs).

Sound is very bassy on tickover, I'll take it for a ride tomorrow and see what it's like on the open road.

Very interested in the sound of it as well. Does it come with, or do the offer a Db killer insert?

Also, in comparison to the stock exhaust how close is it to the front end of the shield?

My reason for that question is, I can not stand the huge lump from the shield in front of the rear left foot peg. I am considering eliminating the rear pegs since only ride solo, and would like to get rid of that lump that hits me in the calf when I go through whoops and the bike rocks back and forth. It almost knocks my left foot off of the peg. If I remove the rear pegs and that front exhaust shield to eliminate that hump I would be happy, but an exhaust that starts the large diameter even 1" farther back or is smaller in diameter even a little would help.

by trial and error...maybe my own stupidity, i'm on my 3rd exhaust.
I'm currently staying with a staintune exhaust. Never needs repacking, and it's fully sealed with delicious stainless material.
granted, I had to hack and slash my stock exhaust to make staintune to fit, but it works nicely, comes with a removable db killer.
I did retain all the stock mounting points, as I need the rear pegs to fasten my givi racks to.

the more I think about it, the more I really should bring the tenere down, so I can point out all the changes I have done to it. But the FZ will keep me very entertained...so the FZ it is.

kmac, most of the Beowolf silencers come with db killers but not the S10 silencer because of the extra turn down needed at the exit.

There is not much difference at the front end of the heat shield but fitting any aftermarket pipe would allow removal of the shield and rear pegs / brackets without it looking terrible.

I will have a bash at a quick video but I have not posted one before so I can't guarantee success. ;)

Where did you buy it from? Beowulf aren't even listing it on their website.
I bought it direct from Beowolf, it was listed on their site when I bought it. Give them a call they are very helpful.

If you remove your rear pegs. You will be sorry when your s10 takes a nap. I've been down in the dirt a few times on mine. The rear peg mounts saved some damage.
