Hello fellow S-10 owners,
I've been hanging out on this forum for the past year or so. Lot's of great information here, and it certainly made some of my farkle choices easier.
I'm past due on introducing myself, so here goes. Been riding motorcycles since I was in the 8th grade. My first bike was a 1970 Honda SL-70, which you can see in the pic below (notice the Easy Rider helmet -
). Probably only had it a year before I upgraded to a Honda XR-80 which did better in the dirt trails I rode in the woods across the street from my house. Rode that bike until my late teens, as I couldn't afford my neighbor's Yamaha IT-175 that I so desperately wanted back then.
A few years later I got my first street bike while in the Army at Ft. Bragg, NC. A 1984 Honda Nighthawk S 700. Had lots of fun riding that bike on the east coast. Unfortunately my buddy got in serious accident while riding with me, and that scared me off motorcycles for about 25 years.
Got a 2006 Suzuki C-50 Boulevard, but soon discovered it was an under-powered motorcycle and sold it within a year or so. Picked up a 2008 Harley 1200 Nightster and it's a nice bike, but doesn't really do well at touring, more of a bar hopper. Probably would have got a bagger, but my friend got a Vstrom, and kept bugging me to get an Adventure Touring bike. Saw the Super Tenere, liked its looks, but wanted to do my homework this time. Read lots of reviews, watched YouTube comparison videos, and it wasn't long before I purchased a 2012 Raven Black Tenere back in late July of last year.
Enjoying the bike immensely, and making it my own with the help of this forum.

Loving my new Leo Vince Carbon Black exhaust that I picked up from Jaxon. That can really made the clutch mod noticible for me.
