As an ex 2010 FJR owner I felt the need to give the 2013 bike another tug now that it's fully run in. Oh man I miss that creamy turbine howl of a 1300 IL4 on full chat ::) This thing is freakin awesome and then some! Ride is way better than before and the motor is sorted. I had to get off and walk away without looking back. If I hadn't I'd have traded the XT right then and there. I have an appointment to ride a K1600GT in a couple of weeks when we get back from 'product assessment' of a different kind. Need to ride that big Beemer cos I just love the beast and all that it stands for. ::008::

Not a big fan of inline 4s (more of a twin rider ;)) but it sounds like Yamaha's done a nice job on improving the FJR. I rode the K1600GT and was less than impressed with the lower end torque. Thought the K1300GT was a far more exciting bike to ride.

When you test ride the K1600, I strongly suggest you ask them, before you take it out, if it has had the radiator cap upgrade, water pump upgrade and what open Puma letters are out for it?

Then go trash the POS and bring it back with worn tires. Feature rich. Nice to ride. Has the reliability of a frog on crack.
