Any Bandito's hiding out here? I just picked up a 97 1200S from the original owner and I'm having a great time getting it ready for spring. This is my second time around with a B12, bought my first one new in 98 and from the day I sold it...well...you know.

This one needed some carb fiddling and general twiddling to get it running proper but it's now a quick starting (wish my S10 fired up like that) and hard pulling flashback. I bought it with intake and exhaust farkledge, so far I've added a GSXR shock and fresh fork springs n oil to give it some twisty composure...anyfugnway... any others around here?

Ever since my 1983 GS1150ESE I've been a big fan of grunty I4's. I've owned about 5 or 6 each of either the early GS's, FJR's and later Bandits. I picked up an 08 1250S a couple years ago. The previous owner ran it on a dirt road and packed a lot of luggage on it....looked like hell but what really hurt him was the unsigned out of state title. I picked up the bike for stupid cheap as he couldn't sell it and spent some time cleaning it up. Came out rather good and have put about 5K miles a year on it since. Yes, you can't get your finger off the starter button fast enough. Just breathe on the button and the engine starts instantly.

Completely went thru the mechanicals first then after pix with cosmetics done...

Here's what $1900 USD looks like, can't imagine getting more bike for the buck. Something about this first gen B12 makes me happy, simple and distilled it seems.

Another Bandit fan here! I had an immaculate gen 2 03 GSF1200S followed by an 07 1250S. Just loved my 1200 and still regret selling it. I'm always on the look out for another 1200 in good condition but the good ones are hard to come by now. I think the 1200"s had more character than the 1250.....loved the raw feel of the old detuned GSX-R engine!

I have a set of highway pegs that I took off my 2001 B12 before I sold it. They bolt on to the front motor mounts and are painted silver to match the 01 paint. 25 bucks plus shipping.

It was a grueling visit to the DMV but my Bandit is good to go, insured and registered....just need this El Nino' to give up a decent winter day to get out and give it a go!

And thanks for the offer Racer but I'm looking for stuff to remove, might ditch the fairing and go the fighter route like I did with my first one.

Didn't expect to find any Bandit-lovers here but wonders never cease! I've got a squeaky clean 2000 model that also has the hyper start feature. Less than 4800 miles. Just in case anybody's looking, I'm thinning the herd.
