Help ! I took a short 20 mile ride and it seemed something was amiss . I came home put the bike on the center stand started looking at rear brakes and noticed pretty extreme wear on rotor. Started engine put bike in first gear and let the clutch out and a terrible rattle coming from somewhere in the drive line or hub area !! Can anybody advise with the info. Provided ? I'm very concerned . Bike only has 11000 miles and I'm very responsible rider , no wheelies or jumps or burn outs . Help

Up date brake rotor probably looks normal. It sounds like it's somewhere between clutch basket and ring and pinion . ::)

Really sounds like a bearing failure somewhere I just can't pin point it . I guess it's time for the dealer .

Fred thank you for the reply. First, time I ever tried that so it freaked me out . Can you please explain to me the best you can as to why it does that. I thought maybe it had something to do with traction control , turned it of and not as loud but still there.

There will be a little drive-train lash when on center stand and associated noise, but you should not be able to hear it while riding......

" it seemed something was amiss".

What exactly does that mean? ???
More detail from the beginning please.
Did you try in on center stand motor off spinning by hand check rear pads take the caliper off?
Clean everything small smudge of copper grease on the back plate of the pad put it back together.
These are some of the easiest pads I have ever replaced on a bike.

Problem solved . Thanks for all the feed back. Problem was 2 broken spokes and normal backlash from drive. I should have done a more thorough inspection prior to asking for assistance. This was the first time I have ever run the bike on the center stand. One of the spokes was just starting to rub drive tube. In the future I will be more specific when asking for help. Thanks .

Ah!
The broken Tenere spoke!!
I have to be king of all when it comes to spokes completely exploding on a Tenere and still alive to tell about it!! ::010::
Glad you found the issue..
