I’ve ridden some and prefer the S10. But why lemon? DTC, engine or other?
The bike suffered from an intermittent stalling problem that always took place when pulling away from a standstill. The dealer tried to fix it, replacing the ECU, coils, throttle bodies, etc. But the issue continued. The dealer contacted Honda JP for guidance on the next step and Honda called it an "engine characteristic" and said it was normal. In short, they washed their hands of the problem. No lemon laws here so I got stuck with it.
While I owned it, the DCT also broke down, refusing to downshift once the engine got hot. If it won't downshift into first at a standstill, it won't move forward anymore. It also won't start if it's not in neutral. So that means you're stranded. My dealer fixed this but it was still having some issues which would have meant another DCT repair if I had kept the bike. Once in a while it would refuse to shift from 1st to 2nd gear. Restarting the bike would temporarily solve it.
Besides those two main issues, the bike also had to have a fuel pump and switch gear replaced during my two year ownership.
