I have been looking for foot pegs that are bit bigger and wider then what is available in today's after market. I am big guy and have wide feet. So the pegs I have tried to date the SW motech, pivot peg, tourtech and the like; they basically add between 10 to 30 % in foot peg real-estate at a hefty cost but not very comfortable. I am willing to pay the cost but the product in return does not meet my need. That when I talked with Travis at ThunderMFG here in phoenix, AZ. They manufacture high performance motorcycle parts. They have a CNC machine shop. I asked if they can make a foot peg from a single piece aluminium that light weight, very very strong for someone who weight north of 250 Lb, it is cost competitive, has aggressive teeth for grip while riding off road and it is BIG in size with capital B. Travis went to work and this is what they came up with (see photos in link Extra large foot pegs https://picasaweb.google.com/112522046513162436640/S10ExtraLargeFootPegs?authuser=0&feat=directlink).

Just last weekend, I finished a 500 mile off road ride through the mountainous in southern AZ including US-Mexico border. This pegs held up with me pounding on them - let me rephrase abusing them. They are strong - very strong. The comfort in this wide pegs is unbelievable I can stand for very long time - as it feels like i am standing on a platform - with out any discomfort what so ever. The teeth on these are excellent no slippage with excellent boot grip. I would highly recommend this pegs to someone who rides long road tours, aggressive single track trials or bunch of wide open dirt fire/forest roads and looking for better comfort in their pegs.

Thunder MFG will extended a S10 forum discount on a group buy. They have graciously reduced the cost of pegs from $125.00 + shipping & handling down to $99.00 with shipping included to US 49 for this group buy. Please call Travis at Thunder MFG 623-869-7154 and get on group buy list. He will collect names for 10 orders at a time through the end of year.

Wow!! Those are massive, and beautifully made! Did you retain the stock height, or lower them a bit? I'm not quite ready to have pegs that size, but would be interested in your views on the SWMotech pegs in particular, if they were the "lowerable" ones.

They retain the stock height and use stock hardware (spring and lock pin). The feel on them is perfect for long road riding or in standing off road position.

Dude. I'm in!

(Called Travis. Out of office. Call back tomorrow)

When\if they are in the way, I will swap pegs. But unless I'm heading for the twisties, THOSE look incredible. Glad you and they had the balls to go beyond the norm.

(250lb size 13E) those look like Road Warrior platforms.

Just got on the list with Travis at Thunder.

Told him I am old and patient. But if he didn't want to wait until there are 10 buyers, crank me outta set and tag me for the extra dough.

Hope that doesn't mess you guys up but those are the knurliest big boy pegs I have ever seen and my boots are dreaming of standing on them.

Thanks to the op for making the efforts! Dude, you are the man today.
