Here is the route,
http://goo.gl/maps/J3tNV

We will be meeting at the Walmart in Shelton Wa, just off 101 at 9:30 am Saturday April 12 for a 10:00 departure . Pack a snack for a break at the Wynoochie Dam. It's about 20 miles of graded gravel, then after the Dam, it's glorious pavement.
The ride ends at the Ranch house BBQ between McLeary and Olympia. I'll have reservations for 3pm, that gives us plenty of time.
PM me for more details or e-mail direct glencomeux@me.com

IN!

Portland area riders, looks like 2h 15m of super slab to the start point. I'm planning on departing Tigard at 7A, let me know if you want to ride along.

It's looking like 6-8 riders so far! I'll keep a close eye on the weather from here on out. If it's more than 50% chance of the liquid stuff, I'll most likely call it off. The route is perfectly fine on stock tires when it's dry but a few of the switch backs up there might be tricky when wet.
I'll post updates on here and Facebook later next week. Bring your camera, lots of waterfalls and spectacular scenery!

I picked up my supplies to do the 600 mile oil/filter/final drive oil change today at Fairview Yamaha (plus a pretty awesome Yamaha hat for $10). Now if I can get another 300 miles in between now and next Fri, I might be in. I'll keep you all posted as we get closer. Having nice weather this next week to ride to work in will definitely help me rack up those miles.

I was hoping to come down from BC but unfortunately work is in the way. Maybe next time.
I'll keep an eye out for future rides.

The weather is looking good for the weekend ride! Between FB, email list and on here, we can expect 10-12 riders (3 from PDX/Vancouver)
Bring your camera for the views/ waterfalls and pack a snack, dinner will be some award winning BBQ! With 2 of the riders turning 50 this weekend ::018::, expect a surprise of some sort See y'all at 9:30 for a 10:00 departure from the Shelton Walmart just off US 101 south of the airport.

Any plans for Seattle area and Eastside folks to gather for the ride to Shelton?

Kevin and Paul, I'm planning on joining you guys at the Gee Creek rest area at 7:30 to head North. Also from Facebook it looks like a Gerald Massey might be interested in meeting up too. See you guys there!

Glen, I hope you don't mind, but I took your map and converted it into a .GPX file (using gpsvisualizer.com), for those that want to follow along on their devices (get lost, show up late, etc). See attached.

Gerald, we exchanged a few posts on StromTrooper back in '09, it will good to meet you. Likely chilly enough that I won't wear the Olympia though.

Joel - see you there as well!

Hey fellows, this is John Copeland in Vancouver. I'm planning to make the ride Saturday. Will meet the southern folks at Gee Creek Rest Area. Glen, put me in the list.
