I went with the Leo Vince and took the quiet core out. If I wanted quiet, the OEM was good for that. My Harley buddy likes it cuz the twin kinda sounds like a big V now that you can hear it. It came with a dB killer that pointed down. Thot I might take it to Alaska with me in case a RCMP complained. I want the mooses to hear us coming. mw
That's what I liked about the pipe on my thumper. With the low note, animals would usually just run away
Only problem was the I had to push the bike out of my immediate neighborhood before starting it in the morning.
I also remember stopping a rest stop in the mountains and letting the bike run for for about 30 seconds in order to thaw out, with the help of my heated vest. Had to shut it down after being told by a shop owner and getting some choice glares from people around me. This was with a muffler that had the road legal tag for noise comliance. :-\
It's a Japanese thang!; they value silence. I was still drawing glares a couple of minutes after shutting off the engine.
No more loud pipes for me. They piss people off and fail quicker than the OEM. I'll report on the OEM pipe, Arrow header combo sometime after the snow melts. ::016::
