I ran into this guy at the The Bavarian Mountain Weekend Rally at Sipapu, NM last weekend.
I have met him before and he is a great guy but I was very suprised that he was not riding a BMW. This is his second Super Tenere.

Any LD riders recognize this guy? I'll give you a hint: Deming, NM and Veteran's Day.

I'm doing great! I'm looking forward to getting back up to your neck of the woods, maybe next summer.

Don Cameron. I must admit I cheated a little with the hints. One heck of a nice guy it seems. Cool.

Correct!

Don owned the BMW dealership in Deming NM until he retired and was known as the go to guy for all things BMW in that part of the country.
He is active in the BMW and LD communities and held a BBQ at his house on Veteran's Day for 14 years, the last one was 2011.
I went in 2002 and wow, what a great gathering with riders from all over the US attending.

When I asked him how he came to be riding a Tenere, he mentioned something about being left stranded a couple of times on his BMW. ;)

Yeah, I don't really feel any different .... yet. I just really liked the sound of "sexagenarian". The wife says I don't look a day over 75, and I can still outwork most men twice my age. Keep me posted on that trip north, bud. R ::012:: ::022:: ::003::

Don is a great guy. The wife and I were at the last Demming event. Got to love toilet seat toss and the slow race on the mini bikes. And the kid in the banana suit! LOL.

Thanks for the pic and interesting to see Don on a Super Ten. ::008::
