Will the crash bars get here and get installed, before I drop this bike in my garage?

Murphy dictates not. And Murphy is almost always right. I'm glad to hear that the "gravity well" is more widespread than south Whitehorse. I guess bike dropping could become an international rage, sort of like cow tipping. R

Just wondering if anyone has static dropped their bike (eg, foot slips at a stop and down it goes), what type of production did you bike have at the time, and what was the damage.
The day after I bought mine up a couple of weeks ago I headed out on a 600 mile loop, pouring rain, stopped on a dirt road to get a bug out of my helmet and it went over on the left side (I cant flat foot it, and was stopped on a slope). Damage: That long tang sticking out from where the spring connects to the sidestand bent (even though the sidestand was up), and broke off when I straightened it out. But it doesnt seem to have any function so no big deal. The bad part is that I dented the tank where my wallet in my back pocket was pressing on it when I lifted the bike back up. Havent figured out how to fix that yet.

I dropped it last weekend at the red lights... got out of balance when my foot slipped when I practically stoppied... :-[ got it up alone, ::002:: hurt my back and my ego, little scrapes on the right case, steer guard and the engine guard. O:) Nothing really to cry about but my friggin' back,... :-X

i just static dropped mine on monday..!

i think i forgotten to engage the side stand, else it was not over the centre..
i just lean it to left and too late to realise that side stand it up..

so it just slowly goes into slumber..
with half tank full, 3 med sized guys manage to lift it up easily..

no significant damages, except for the bend side stand tip and gear shifter..
they are being bend back into position using a plug removal tool and a spanner..
after going thru all the panels and parts, i was quite surprised that no scratches to any part whatsoever..

"highly controlled circumstances" :D I'll try to remember that as it's going down. Mine hasn't , yet O:)
But I cannot hold back. Troll did his in 1st or 2nd day
Pat is right on this one. I think I might have been the first North American owner to admit to dropping my SupaT. If the hand guards had not rolled on the bars... got a very small dimple on the left side of the tank.

tall bike, short legs, pea gravel and a sloping driveway. got it out of the way on the first day - hasn't been over since... ::26::

Dropped mine after a long trip and was dehydrated and not thinking straight . Tried to catch it while still sitting on it and pulled a hamsting muscle as it went down.
Pulled myself out from underneath and lifted it up using one leg ( the adrenalin had cut in , and I was embarrased).
I hobbled around for the next week till my leg healed and vowed next time I would let it fall and not try to stop it. Its easier to lift than to try and stop it falling once its on its way.

Still love this bike
