It was recommended that I introduce myself to the Forum officially here.
So I am!

Officially I like Anonymity, but it's hard to stay that way once people start seeing the stuff I design and build.

I live North West of Fort Worth in a little town with a population of only 365. And I've been building cars, 4 X 4 trucks, Hot Rods, Race Cars, Motorcycles and bicycles all my life. Now that I'm retired I have a lot more time to use all the tools I've spent a lifetime collecting and learning how to use.

Being a KLR Owner too, I am, in the KLR fashion, a cheap SOB! I buy stuff then modify it my way until it does and fits my needs.

My Motto is: "Nothing Mechanical is Sacred in my World."

I'm a Fabricator and a Problem Solver. I've been called a Mechanical Genius, but I don't put that on my Christmas cards.
Don't believe everything you read either!

Oh and for the Record, Clifford is not my real name!
My real name is Curtis! I was supposed to be named Clifford, but the nurse at the Hospital when I was born couldn't spell Clifford. I think her son was named Curtis and they both started with a "C"!
So I'll answer to either and a few more! You can call me Clifford!

Been hanging around this Forum since I decided to buy the Tenere so I could find out if it was a good choice for me.

So far I think so!
This Forum is definitely worth Hanging onto.
So Howdy Ya'll!

p.s. I also own a Ducati Elefant, A Triumph Tiger, a diesel KLR and a bunch of other bikes in various states of assembly.
It's an Addiction!

Well OK, but if you don't mind waiting I'll see if I can find the Original Writeup that was done on the KLR Forums so I don't have to retype it all up. It's a conversion job, not one of the Hayes Diesels. The engine is a 10 HP single cylinder generator motor and it uses a CV Transmission. Not the fastest thing on the planet, but the 125 mpg is nice. It rides more like a big scooter with a top speed of 55 mph with my big butt on it.

There is actually a You Tube Video on it under Diesel KLR if you can't wait. IT's the green 2002 KLR.
Once I get my Tiger converted to diesel the KLR will be up for sale.
Sorry I'm headed out the door and don't have time to find the link for you.

I'll put out the invitation to you Tenere Riders. Should you be passing through the DFW area and in need of a place to spend the night give me a heads up.
My place is North West of Fort Worth just outside of a little town called Rhome. It's on the way if you're headed to the Pandhandle or Denver ECT from the DFW area. Rhome is where WHY 287 and Hwy 114 intersect. 11 miles West of the Texas Motor Speedway.

I have a guest house above the garage with a great bed, hot shower, entertainment and a full unversal gym.
You're welcome to come hang out, wash the clothes and change the oil and tires if you need to. I've got a shop we can roll the Scooter into to work on it.

My wife's used to having Guest. I get visiting riders passing through from all over the Country.
We have one Queen bed and two extra large size Cabella's Cots with Therma Rest Matteresses if there's more than one of you.
Plus I have a Motorhome in the shop for the overflow.
