It was recommended that I introduce myself to the Forum officially here.
So I am!
Officially I like Anonymity, but it's hard to stay that way once people start seeing the stuff I design and build.
I live North West of Fort Worth in a little town with a population of only 365. And I've been building cars, 4 X 4 trucks, Hot Rods, Race Cars, Motorcycles and bicycles all my life. Now that I'm retired I have a lot more time to use all the tools I've spent a lifetime collecting and learning how to use.
Being a KLR Owner too, I am, in the KLR fashion, a cheap SOB! I buy stuff then modify it my way until it does and fits my needs.
My Motto is: "Nothing Mechanical is Sacred in my World."
I'm a Fabricator and a Problem Solver. I've been called a Mechanical Genius, but I don't put that on my Christmas cards.
Don't believe everything you read either!
Oh and for the Record, Clifford is not my real name!
My real name is Curtis! I was supposed to be named Clifford, but the nurse at the Hospital when I was born couldn't spell Clifford. I think her son was named Curtis and they both started with a "C"!
So I'll answer to either and a few more! You can call me Clifford!
Been hanging around this Forum since I decided to buy the Tenere so I could find out if it was a good choice for me.
So far I think so!
This Forum is definitely worth Hanging onto.
So Howdy Ya'll!
p.s. I also own a Ducati Elefant, A Triumph Tiger, a diesel KLR and a bunch of other bikes in various states of assembly.
It's an Addiction!
