Another Riser Question?

Yep, I've been reading through all the threads regarding the 2" Rox risers and can't seem to find the answer I'm looking for.

I want the 2" risers to bring the handlebars closer to the rider and around 10 - 15 mm above horizontal. I plan on shortening the OEM h/bars by about 30 mm. Would there enough slack in the brake/clutch lines to achieve what I'm planning with the OEM set-up or do I need brake/clutch line extensions.

Thanks,

Tony

There isn't enough room to shorten the bars and get the controls to all fit. Control perches can go maybe a cm inboard before reaching the bend. If you can run the controls 25-30mm further inboard, I believe the hoses will be long enough to handle the max pull back you're looking for. I went max up, perches slid inboard, with a little pull back and a little forward rotation and my hoses were good.

Umm, mine is a '12. Dunno if the bars changed on '14...

Thanks for that Don. I also would like to clarify if the Rox 2" risers have enough clearance to be rotated past the rear most OEM handlebar clamp bolt heads? If the bolt heads get in the way can the risers be made to clear the bolts with lower profile heads?

Thanks again.

I believe the ROX will touch the rear bolt as it rotates. I've read where replacing the bolts with socket head bolts gives the clearance, but makes it a little more fiddly to get everything tight. Easy enough actually, just have to exercise the brain a little more. But, if you rotate the riser all the way through like you need, clearance should be a non-issue.
