I've had my (faster) black S10 for about a week now and I'm really enjoying it. It's my first foray into the adventure bike arena.

The older I get, the more the Uber Cruiser weight, and laid out riding position, isn't working for me. Yes... I admit it... I'm getting old... But now, I feel like a kid again!

Some people have said that the S10 is heavy. Not to me! After wrestling my old Royal Star (which I traded in) this thing feels light as a feather. It is one of a very few bikes that I've had that I was instantly comfortable and at ease on.

UPS and FedEx showed up today soooo, tomorrow morning, the farklefest begins!

If anybody is in the West Tennessee area and wants to get together, gimme' a ping!

West Tennessee?
You lucky dog!

I could go in about 10 different directions from there and be guaranteed an adventure!

Right bike. Right place. Good times.

Welcome. :)

You sold me on it! Did you get your commission? ;D I thank you for the ride.

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone. I got a pretty good bit of farkling done before I overheated today. At the local Walgreens the thermometer in their sign said it was 106, but, it only felt like 102 with the wind chill....

This area really is the Crossroads of America. I'm looking forward to the "Civil War Tour" that my wife has been planning.

Pictures coming if my Nikon, which locked up before I took any, didn't completely fry....

Thanks again everybody. I will try to be a productive contributor.

Welcome on, oh rotund one. This is a weighty forum, heavily laden with information. Great handle (name), by the way. Congrats on the new bike. Good luck with the farkling. To farkle, or not to farkle ... there is no question. ::004:: R. ::022::

Weighty,,, Heavily laden,,, What are you saying?!? ;) :D

It is an accurate description, even though I've lost 70 pounds in the past 1-1/2 years. I'm down to a svelte 240 tons! I'm only 5'10" though...

I used to describe myself as a 300Lb. upside down bowling pin with a beard... :)

I feel great, my shoes last longer and women throw themselves at me ;D... Well, 2 out of 3 anyhoooo..... :'(

I was messing with you, my friend. I think your "handle" is great. Absolutely no ill will intended whatsoever. Congratulations on your weight loss ... you are to be commended. That is substantial. I, myself, catch the eye of the occasional 80 year old barmaid .... until I take my helmet off.

Congrats again, and welcome. R ::003::
