Has anyone had any experience with buying soft saddle bags on Aliexpress? For $95.00 I'm tempted to give these a shot, especially with free shipping:

Quick question for those using soft luggage: These look to have a solid inner-side, do you think these would be okay without a luggage frame if I turned the passenger grab handles upside-down?

I've not used them. However, on an adventure bike, I wouldn't want saddlebags flopping around. On my KLR I use the Wolfman Expedition waterproof setup with the proper rack (from when they still sold the rack) and on the SuperT I use the panniers with a big dry bag on top.

If you're looking for something that works and is inexpensive, I picked up a KwikTek last year (70L version) and it's been on several motorcycle trips and 2 hunting trips. https://www.amazon.com/Kwik-Tek-Dry-Waterproof-Duffel/dp/B002PKJ1PS/?th=1&psc=1
Inexpensive, reinforced bottom and hold what I need.

Good luck!

Winding Roads makes a plate that bolts to most Givi/swmotech racks to support soft panniers like wolfmans. I run them when I go offroad. Not cheap, but probably cheaper than breaking your ankles as they get jammed under hard cases offroad.

I use wolfman soft bags on my DR650, for 4 or 5 years now. They are very similiar to what you are looking at.
I've found them to be very reliable, and durable. You do need to strap them tight EVERY time you open them, as stated above, you don't want them flapping around.
Strapped properly, they work very well. Mine have proven to be completely waterproof.
Hope this helps
