My oil has arrived as has my filler tube, thanks for the fast shipping. Looks like I may hit my first oil change by this weekend. I will be interested to see what the OEM fill looks like and how the clutch feels afterwards.
Glad you got everything okay - that filler tube makes the rear drive much easier - I use the flex end on each bottle and I don't have to worry about messing with a funnel. Then just ad the small tip when you switch to the gear lube. You don't have to worry at all about the little bit of residue from the motorcycle oil - that is actually also rated as a gear lube so having a few 10ths of an ounce won't hurt anything.
I like to drain the old stuff and then flush some new stuff in before putting the drain plug back in. I wait until I see the color change and then I know it is completely flushed.
On a side note, with a hydraulic clutch - you get less of the sensation of how well the oil is affecting the clutch - so you may not notice a big difference. I didn't notice as much with the S10 as I have on other bikes without a hydraulic clutch. My clutch is really starting to feel smooth now at about 4,000 miles though - so I think you will notice it getting better and better.
Good luck - it was a pleasure working with you!
Thanks!
