Real interesting that I clicked on that link above and then about 3 hours later, the same cooler shows up in my Facebook feed.

Man, we are being tracked everywhere!

I found that if you take the OEM plastic cases, fill them with beer bottles, pour some ice over, it'll keep the beer cold all evening...

If I were going to get more fancy about it, I'd use a soft sided cooler, and just drop it into regular panniers.

Heh Heh, no I have touratech panniers and thought an aluminum cooler would fit the bill. I would like for it to be sturdy enough for my wife to lean against after padding it. Hell, I am on a low carb diet and hopefully the weight loss will break even with the weight of the cooler. Now I just have to lose enough to cover the weight of the beers and ice.......

I would have to bolt it down as I would hate for the slosh..... to slide the cooler off because of being too drunk to tie it down........
I had a great set of coolers from Drag that dropped into mt harley saddlebags, but a few hours later everything was melted and it made a mess.

Man I love them KLR Boy's!!
Tight budget and cheap like me.
This does not solve your problem but I strap down a collapsible padded cooler fits 2 sixers or a bunch of food and ice after I have established a camp.
