Just wondering whether anyone has added the AltRider Upper Crash Bar option to their lower Crash Bars.

Any thoughts, comments or overall impressions ... especially do the additional lower clamps cause any issues with side panel removal.

looks like a 274 dollar light mount bar. I don't see it as a protection add-on, despite of what they claim.

I see it adding strength to the engine guards and keeping them from collapsing. And another light bar. $274 is just Altrider. If they were for a KLR they would be $174.

Hmmm not a lot of comment so this option probably hasn't been fitting by many of the inmates. Tim ... I agree that they should add some strengthening to the engine guards but surely the KLR versions would only be $74 :D

There have been reported instances of the front fairing support fracturing (the one attached to the frame front stem) and I thought the Upper Crash Bars might just add some additional support in this regard.

Anyway I've ask the Oz suppliers to confirm availability and give me a price ... unfortunately not going to be AUS$274 down here ::)

I've looked at them and can't figure out what kind of a situation they would save your bike from damage…
