Altrider bars and panel removal

Hi,

I’m a bit stuck…I have Altrider crash bars and how I understand it the right hand panel ,which covers the electronics, should be removable with the bars in place.
But I can’t get the panel out, not without forcing it with the risk of damage or breaking it.
Is there a trick to it?
Because having to remove the bars is a pain and not practical if I would need to get to the electronics on the road side.

wow i can remove the black panel easy i can even remove the top white panel and i have altrider lowers and uppers fitted,
the black panel is a little tight in one place but comes off very easy and i have carbon panels on mine

Check the battery is fitted the right way round. Mine was not and it made it harder to get that panel off.

Same issue here, I have the lower and upper bars. What I do is remove the threaded backing block of the upper right side bar for just a wee bit more clearance, then place a microfleece rag between the panel and the bar so as not to scratch the panel as I slide it out.

When I remove my body panel, it definitely has a tight fit with my AltRider lower crash bars. That said, if I pull the panel towards the rear of the bike, it comes out. The first few times I removed it, I was worried it would leave a mark on the body pannel, but that has never happened. Don't forget the plastic panel will flex as you pull it off.

Thanks, I’ll have another go. Possibly the fuse for the charger cable is interfering.
