Are you folks retired? I am not yet (and won't be for at least 6 yrs). I need that info to manage my level of envy.

More and more, I run into guys that have the time to ride cross country or at least regionally. I am relegated to day trips primarily. That's not a complaint. More of a goal.

You'll get there!
It's an art sometimes trying to balance work with family-life, along with time to venture out beyond my local region.
Luckily I have an amazing wife who understands my passion for motorcycling, and my desire for Adventure.............................(and having a job that is very flexible with requested time-off helps)
I typically plan out my moto-camping trips way out in advance. (sometimes as far out as a whole year!) Often the plans include or try to coincide with other traveling friends. Sometimes it works out, sometimes not.
In the end it still becomes an epic trip with my cup overflowing with new memories!

Well Skunk, I am originally from CO, next time I get that way maybe we can meet up for a drink or something. Any big rides planned for next year?

Anytime you are heading this way just message me.
I don't have anything concrete for next year yet, but i do have some ideas kicking around in my head already.

Thanks for posting an intro & again, welcome to the group.

There's a piece of sand paper in the phone clamp to the bar to keep mine from sliding.
I have not tried the sand paper, will have to give it a try.

I keep an old inner tube around that I cut rubber strips then wind the strip between the bar and the clamp and finally tighten the !@#$% out of the clamp. Helps with vibrations too.

Thanks for the assessore bar mount ideas. I resorted to using a rubber grommet and a slice of old motorcycle innertube. Holds fast.
