The Teneres are crazy good.
We really had almost no problems at all.
Matt left home with one head light bulb out [go figure] and the other one blew out latter in the trip.
The morning when we camped on the Dalton I had no head lights when I started my bike. I put in another fuse and it blew when I started the bike, so I removed both bulbs put in another fuse and it was fine when I started it so I junked both bulbs and put my spare in the right side then picked up another bulb in Valdez.
My original fork seals finally gave out while on the Dalton with 110,375 miles on them.
I think Joey lost that end bolt out of one handle bar.
Oh and after a long deep river crossing my rear drive seal spit out some oil on the rim, I picked up some 80 90 and drained it [milky] put in fresh and it was fine after that.
That's all I can think of.
One more thing, after a down pour my KTM heated grips didn't work for a couple hours. just the push button.

Stellar report Steve. I have been fighting the urge to add an Alaska ride to my lifetime list but your version of this ride has likely just swayed me to add it in. Love all the detours to find some good offroad riding options. I have done the Cassiar and AK Hiway by truck so I would love to do it with as many ADV diversions as you did. Keep the report coming. Can't wait to see it all!!

Let me tell you that if you have never been in Alaska, this RR will give you the willing to go. If you have ever been there, it will give you the willing to return (my case). But whatever is your case, if you do not have one already, it will give you the willing to buy and ride a Super Tenere... ::008::
Thank you

Thank you guys.
Michelle is starting to yell at me to get some work done around here.
WORK what is that? I'll find out Monday after being gone 25 days and I'm the only one in the shop.
I'll try to keep going on it some more soon.
I still have one crazy story that I haven't give out any hints about yet so stay with me here. it's on day 14

A ride to Alaska was a must do for me this year after picking up my Tenere in January. But after talking to dozens of people that had rode the trip I decided it was more of just a very long ride than an adventure ride. After starting to read this RR my mind has changed and next year would love to do this. I would be happy with these exact tracks, who's in for 2016?

Steve,

You and your friends really represent the Super Ténéré as a genuine Adventure bike. I always feel inadequate after reading how and where you ride this thing.

Well done.

My wife was very impressed with your electric fence. Thinks it's a great idea. (I saw that one coming.)

She also felt she could have done a lot of the stuff you guys rode. Not all of it, but I was surprised at how much of it she thought she'd attempt. We all know pictures almost never do the terrain justice, but I like the attitude.

I'm sure she could ride most all of it except maybe Telkwa Pass.
If you guys like extreme remote, The North Canol is the place to go! If it is clear and sunny it was the prettiest place we seen.
That fence might come in real handy up near the NWT area. There was Grizzly scat all over the road. You could always just stay at the Mactung Hilton.
If I ever go back the reason will be to spend a lot more time on the North Canol. There was side trails off the main road and seeing just how far up the road we could go.

Terrific ride report. Thanks for putting in the time to post it up. I had dismissed Alaska as a must do, but your report has changed my perspective.
