Air in clutch system?

Hi
I test rode a ZE a while back and noted the clutch needed pumping a few times before the bite was where it should be rather than right away, I have since bought a ZE and mine has a similar issue, sometimes the bite is right away and I stall it, a few pumps and it's better.
I put this down to air in the system but seems weird that 2 bikes have had the same issue and neither had anymore than 1600 miles on.

Any thoughts before I bleed it through?

try leaving bike overnight on main stand, full right hand lock with the reservoir cap lifted and tie wrap the clutch lever back to the bar. This has often let the air purge itself.

I had some air in my clutch line. Moving the handle forward produced bubbles and solved the issue. Might be worth a try.
