The oil and coolant levels have been steady. I have been commuting this last year. Perhaps it’s just water getting in. I did ride through a few heavy storms. I cleaned it all out and put in a new filter. I did this service as part of a confidence booster for checking the valve gaps. When I open it back up in a month or so I’ll check again. The bike seems to be running normally. The fact that the filter did not have oil on it makes be think it could just be water getting in.
I think it’s just rain water and humidity that collected in the air box. Might have to pull that little drain cap off the bottom a little more often to drain it out.

Your air filter won't have oil on it, as the breather tube is on the "clean" side of the airbox downstream of the filter.

I am unknowledgeable but skeptical that much water could get past the filter and into the clean side of the airbox. Maybe through the rubber bunghole cap [Edit- no, likely not. should be water tight unless screw missing/loose or plastic cracked]? Is that fluid viscus like oil, or like water? Even with heat and vibration, would oil plus water turn that color?

When I was cleaning the normal-looking oil out of my airbox, it instantly turned that milky color. I can't remember if I was using gasoline or a water/vinegar mixture to clean with at the time.

I had momentarily considered replacing that "bulb" vent at the lower rear left of the airbox with a longer clear tube, sealed at the end, to allow for quicker visual inspection but I only had maybe 40 ml of oil in mine.
