Affording Hawaii

Well I am finally settled into my home on the island of Oahu. I have a truly awesome commute from one side of the island to the other that takes me through the mountains and gives me amazing views.

But my 4runner picked up a nail right in the shoulder of the tire and I had to pay out for a new tire since I wanted to get home.

After weeks of not having my house hold goods I finally got them, which included my S10. After 3 weeks of commuting on the bike wouldn't​ you know it, I picked up a nail in the rear. Luckily noticed it in the garage, plugged it and moving on.

I think I may need to start a budget for tires out here and cut back on groceries.

I'm on the Big Island and need tires, but I am trying to convince myself to buy a Gen2 rather than new tires. Lol

Sierra your intuition is correct. I am in the Navy.

Maybe next tire change I can try and swing a new S10, not likely but who knows.

Good luck! New is always good, but I couldn't afford crap when I was in. I had to save up just to get my FJ.
