Hey guys, i just found out about the Oklahoma Adventure Trail but as far as the other states are concerned does each state have a similar program or is there something designated as a adventure bike route? Also i am packing the stock BATTLE WING BW501/502 tires. What dual sports tires will work best?

It's a pretty major undertaking and it seems to come down to a few dedicated individuals, who do a lot of recon to put these things together. I don't know exactly how long, but Sam Correro states that it took him years to create the TAT.

While it's challenging to link dirt and gravel roads together into a cohesive and "meaningful" route, it's getting harder and harder to find roads that aren't covered in tar. Try as I might I'm hard pressed to find them in Kentucky.

As far as routes in other states are concerned, it's one of those things where you may come across a gold mine (someone else's route=labor of love) or you'll have to go out and make one of your own. Either way it's a win-win. Welcome to the forum.

Don't know about other states, but there are still some good rides in Texas. Here's a good place to start your search for the Lone Star State: http://texasadventure.net/

Make sure you check out the "Products" page: http://texasadventure.net/cool-stuff/ride-guides

There's also some good events listed there: http://texasadventure.net/events

And there is always the Texas "Roll The Bones" rally: http://www.rollthebonesrally.com/

There are also a few parks in Texas with off-road trails, etc. suitable for dual-purpose bikes.

Hope this helps!
