Before I strip the dash down does anyone know if the bulb that lights when you have a ABS fault is a dedicated bulb, or is it a shared bulb with other warning lights?
If it's a stand alone bulb, removing it would solve my problem/risk with UK MOT now I have bypassed the rear ABS circuit.
Thanks for any words of wisdom

I have a 2012 and my abs is a stand alone bulb as far as i know. I read in another post i think you put out about hard braking turning your abs light on after you bypassed the rear. I had the same issue when i had a loop on the abs to seal the rear section off. I took it off filled the rear section with brake fluid and put plugs in so it will sense pressure on the rear when it calls for linked braking. I have found on mine just riding the front brake for long distances slowing gradual would set off the abs light. It was trying to apply rear brake in that case too. What i did hasnt completely cured the abs light thing but i have only had it come one twice i think since i did it that way. Taking that bulb out or disabling it would be the safest bet to get you trough inspections

Ok thanks, I didn't put a loop on the pump just the lines, I just put in two M8's or 10's whatever they were.
But I think I may put a. Inline switch to the bulb on the dash, so I can turn it off for MOT etc.
Thanks

I think that light may actually be an LED? (at least on the Gen2s) If true disabling it might not be as simple as just removing a bulb.

I suspect its LED and not so simple to access. What about some black paint?
yes,i had thought that, i also need to see what taking the ABS fuse out does, presumably the light can't illuminate as it won't get a signal, front and back brakes will still work fine for the purpose of the MOT inspection, as soon as its done, put fuse back in, and I can live with the light coming on sometimes, this is purely to get through the MOT test with the back brake ABS circuit bypassed.

When I kill my ABS the dash light come son. My kill mechanism replicates a blown fuse.
