Just look at it this way..
You get a brand new shiny truck, you park it away from the monkeys that will bang into it, you wash it polish it and admire it.
The first time you scratch it it's "Shit"!! The next time it "Dammit"!! after the third time it's now a real pickup truck intended to haul stuff in the back.
You will get over it or you can put a piece of Teflon tape on the panel or bar to avoid scratching.
Simply you can just ride it like a duel sport that's going to get it's bumps and dings.
I don't go out of my way to beat my bike up but i except that it will get it's hard knocks.
