If we have any lurking S10 owners living in Japan, please join-up and introduce yourself. I'm in Aomori Prefecture, Misawa City. I think it would be pretty cool to hook up for a ride sometime.

I reckon there'll be few around. You'll be like me when I first joined the forum ..... the only person with a Super Tenere for what seemed like an eternity. I felt like 'Billy No Mates'. Have a look on ADV and see if there any over there. If so, seduce them to the dark side :)

Yeah, you're prolly right.

I didn't see ANY on showroom floors here in the north part of Japan until now. Now I see one when I walk into the nearby Red Baron (Japanese chain store, multi-brand). We're pretty much in the sticks, so I never expected the local YSP dealer to have one, but, to my amazement, I swung by on my regular rounds of the bikes shop and there it was. It was kinda crazy because I got there just as he was closing and shoe-horning the other half of his inventory inside the building. After just taking a glance, I thought 'nothing new here,' but some weird feeling made me step between the bikes and take a second look.

The original plan was to save the entire amount over about a year-and-a-half, then put my order in, but seeing it there put me over the edge ;). I blame the dealer of course. Could have been from the comments I made to him last year about how much I wanted an S10. 8)

Well, you guys have waited long enough. I am here in Tokyo. haha. I am taking delivery of my Super Tenere around 15 January. Because it has been a minute, are you still here in Japan and riding your Super Tenere's?

. . . . are you still here in Japan and riding your Super Tenere's?
It looks like they've moved on. They're not on the member list anymore. There is a member, @twinrider that's located in Yokohama. He was last on here in November of this year. If you go to the membership page and search his name, sending him a message is the quickest/easiest way to make contact.

Thank you, I’ll do that as Yokohama isn’t very far.

Hello Tenman, No, not really. Not saying they aren’t here, but during my commute on the train in the morning and the urban setting of Tokyo down to Yokosuka I don’t. But I do see thousands of scooters on a daily basis.

That's a long haul from Tokyo to Yokosuka, at least it's the opposite of the rush hour direction.

Not many big bikes commuting in the city, I usually take my MT-09 but it's gotten chilly so I've been on the Tenere the last couple of days. Great wind protection but I miss the MT's quick shifter, what a labor saver in city traffic. :)

Well, one step closer in the journey to register and ride my Super Tenere.

Went to Bike land yesterday and paid for my bike. Chikako-san was a great and friendly salesperson. I have to wait until they do their intensive inspection and review and oil change
exetera before I can pick it up on 14 January. Then there will be a few other obstacles to overcome from my employer before being issued a license to ride in Japan. But it's all good.
