Well yesterday I picked up my own Christmas Pressie to myself ::008:: Apparently these were the last set available from Jaxon's initial group deal ;) Thinking ... the rear will have to wait until next year ???

Installation was done by a local suspension tuning shop ... "shop" ... well actually a specialist who works from his home workshop ... pickup and drop off included the most entralling bike discussions ... including an arrangement to service and upgrade the forks on the XT660R early next year.

Yeah, congrats, and be sure to post your impressions when you do the shake-down. I was kicking around the idea of getting that last set from Jaxon, but it seemed as though Ohlins had no plans to produce the kit anymore. I'd hate to buy them then be stuck without replacement parts or have to wait for a special order type of deal. I'm relieved that you snapped them up; that makes the decision easy 8)

Well so far so good ::008:: The front end definitely feels firmer and even without any preload the "dive" is certainly more controlled ::001::

Parts ... it's an Ohlins kit ... it won't need spares ;) One of the great outcomes I now have a new relationship with a local suspension expert ::003::

Planning a three day ride next week including some kms on dirt ... so we'll just have to see how it goes ::015::

Just saving my pennies for the YA-013 to upgrade the rear as well ... given that the $A is going down faster than a stainless steel hang glider that might just take a little while :(

Look on the bright side. Your economical bike may raise in value faster than petrol prices and Ohlins might set up here and employ some Holden workers which means back door bargains. ;D

Yeah prolly not.. :(
