Mods,

I am not sure where to share ride reports on this forum so please feel free to move the thread.

My S10 is not 5000 kms. The engine is still opening up. I have already done a irob butt saddlesore on this bike without a single muscle ack, so its very capable.
While I miss the smoothness and power of my FZ1, I am starting to enjoy this bike.

Did a 1 day ride and managed to get some good photos which I thought might be worth sharing. They are at the link

Hey Bluestar,

Welcome! I assure you that your new S10 is up to the task and you will agree more and more as you crank the miles out of her.

As for the proper place for a trip report, I assume you can just create your own thread and let her rip! (as you have)

I, on the other hand, have been obnoxiously posting once daily in my favorite thread of all time: "What did you do to your Tenere today". I wouldn't have, if the thread really was limited to what we do TO our Tenere. But you will find it also includes what we did on\with our Tenere too.

As I said, my favorite thread. :)

Thanks for the pics! I have a Tohoku road stations stamp rally book that I need to get busy and fill with some more stamps. I love the area around Fukushima. Went through the Bandai/Urabandai area way to quickly last year, and plan to go at an easier pace this year because it's so gorgeous in that area.

Rode in the Hakkodas today and the roads look similar, only the snow on the roadside is deeper.

I too gave up my fz1 for this and am very pleased . Rode 597 miles the other day and felt
better than I did doing the same ride on the fz1.

Does the Japan S10 have the 4 way flasher button on the left switch gear?

Very nice photos of Japan. It is very beautiful there and so is the food by the way :) I see you saw some of the EQ devastation too. It looks like you guys are having fun there. I always wanted to visit. Cheers from Georgia (U.S.)!

I can answer that. Yes. We get the SA spec bike in Japan because the S10 is not a domestic JA market bike. SA and Euro spec are essentially the same.

Thanks guys. Glad to know you all enjoyed the pics. Makes it worth me taking it :) If any of you ever head to Japan than please drop me a note. I am sure we can arrange some rides together.

I have done a lot of riding in Japan. I lost more than half of my blog by accident. I rode on the FZ1 for 3 and half year/some 60,000 kms. Beautiful bike. I could ride on it all day along, did a Iron Butt on it. The S10 is completely different class when it comes to comfort though. two weeks back I ended up doing a Iron Butt saddle sore without even realizing it!

Mingo, Tenerator has already answered your question.
