Was changing the fluids today and noticed the right headlight was "out".. not being aware of the cooked headlight topic i just assumed it was a bad light.. simply replace...

The light worked yesterday and last evening..yesterday I attended a full day off road training course. I looked through the forum and read up on the headlight harness issue and went outside and took off both covers and swapped the bulbs.. magically everything is working again...

My thoughts:

1. Attachment point from the connector to bulb was loose (although didn't seem loose when dissembling)
2. Stars and the moon aligned and it started to work (i don't see a moon out tonight)
3. or?

This may have always been there, but never picked up on it, but when i switch the high beams on there's a "clunk" or loud click (some sort of sound) when high beam engages / disengages .. always been there and paranoid now? Normal? thanks..

First symptoms of the headlight connection overheating is that either headlight drops offline and can be brought online simply by jiggling the connector. You're just experiencing the first manifestation of the overheating problem which may be solved by jiggling and/or some dielectric grease, and/or may get worse.

The relay click is normal.
